The Department of Telecom has decided to discontinue the utilization of Chinese technologies for the upgrading of BSNL 4G equipment (mobile). NDTV reports that government sources have reported that the ministry has determined to inform BSNL to not use Chinese material if there are security issues.

It is already being analyzed that this

the measure is being taken to reduce the use of materials or equipment manufactured by Chinese firms. The government has decided to call for a tender and the government is concerned about giving it to the private sector.

Telecom companies such as Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea are currently working with Huawei on their network. ZTE is working with BSNL.

The decision comes amid rising tensions in Ladakh. On Monday evening, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the conflict with China. This is the first time in nearly five decades that there have been fatalities in the conflict with China.

In addition, the media reports that the network security of equipment manufactured by Chinese companies is always in doubt. In 2012, an American panel said security concerns were being raised by telecom networks manufactured by Chinese companies. So Huawei has told ZTE not to use American companies. Chinese companies have denied the allegations.

So the central government of India sent a notice to BSNL to stop the use of all Chinese tools for the 4G update.
